Skiing is the most popular winter activity during the New Year holiday.

Winter recreation activities are in high gear in many parts of Liaoning province with seasonal weather conditions setting an excellent stage for traditional winter pursuits. Tourists flocked to the winter tourism destinations including Beiling park (北陵公园) and Northeast Asia Ski Resort (东北亚滑雪场 Dong Bei Ya Hua Xue Chang) to take part in the various snow tourism activities such as snow surfing, snow motorcycling, skiing and snow sledge.
