Several cities in Liaoning, particularly Shenyang and Dalian, are among China's shopping paradises, especially for fashion and style.  International brands, such as Versace and Gucci, and traditional Chinese clothes, like 'Qi-pao' (Chinese-style dress) can be tailored here.
 
The amount of fruit produced in Liaoning is huge , the most famous being apples, pears, cherries, hawthorns and chestnuts.

As for arts and crafts: carved stones, amber and agate, as well as silk and feather artifacts are very popular souvenirs for visitors.  Liaoning is also a good place to purchase the "Three Treasures of the Northeast", namely the ginseng, marten and pilose deer antler.

Shenyang is also home to one of the largest wholesale markets in all of China-- Wu-Ai Wholesale Market.  One can find anything from name brand clothing to office supplies to electronics to handicrafts.  Wu-Ai Wholesale Market is a shopping experience that one has to see for oneself.  It is a highlight of any shopping experience in Liaoning and is quite popular with foreign visitors.  There are hundreds of Russian businesspeople who come to Wu-Ai in order to buy new stocks of goods then return to their homeland to make a tidy profit.
