Transportation and Communication networks link all parts of Liaoning Province through railroads, highways, airlines and ports.  Within Liaoning Province there are black-top roads leading to virtually every county, city and village.  The quality of the highways has vastly improved over the last few years with a total of 42,763 kilometers in highways and there are super highways connecting most major cities including one linking the province with Beijing.

Liaoning’s coastline is 2,178 kilometers in length and the main coastal ports are located in Dalian, Yingkou, Dandong, Jinzhou and Huladao.  Within these cities are 142 productive berths and 46 deep-water berths.   There are airports in Shenyang, Dalian, Dandong and Chaoyang.
