Canada's western city of Calgary was hit with about five centimeters of snow Wednesday night, bringing in a feel of winter as summer is coming in just a few weeks.
The wintry weather is being caused by a jet stream, which could dump up to 20 centimeters of snow in parts of western Alberta province, reports reaching here said Thursday.
Areas of northwestern Saskatchewan could also receive snow.
Thursday in Calgary, the wind-chill makes it feel like minus-5 Celsius.
Meanwhile, weather across other parts of the country is slightly on the chilly side, but fairly normal for this time of the year.
In the central province of Ontario, temperatures in Toronto and Ottawa are expected to reach more than 30 degrees Celsius for Thursday and Friday. (Xinhua) |
