On the night of July 31st, Hunnan New District finally finished the lighting engineering after two months's intense construction. The south of central business district, the south bank of Hunhe River and areas around Shenyang Olympic Sports Center Stadium will welcome visitors from home and abroad with beautiful light scenery.

On Hunhe Strict, the south end of the green belt in the middle of the road is decorated with stunning light which is shaped into the Chinese characters of "Shenyang". The pattern of Chinese Seal lies between the two Chinese characters. Providing a friendly atmosphere of the Olympic Games, this feature will definitely impress the visitors since it is located in the south of Shenyang. At the north end of the green belt, there is another sculpt lump named Lucky Star.

Most of the lights are in blue, white and yellow, which are quite soft. The whole lightening engineering, with 55 buildings, 2 bridges and 5 communities involved, costs 21 million RMB. It uses compact fluorescent lamp called LED, which is the same with that of The Oriental Pearl TV Tower in Shanghai. People can see beautiful lights from 19:30 to 23:00 every night from now on.
