Liaohe River, one of the seven rivers in China,is the mother river for people in Liaoning. These years,however,with the rapid development of industrialisation, water pollution is becoming more and more serious in Liaohe River. Nowadays, Liaohe River ranks the second in the most polluted rivers in China.

Shenyang,Anshan,Fushun,Benxi,Yingkou,Liaoyang and Tieling, cities in Liaoning Province, are now taking measures together to save the mother river. For providing a better living environment for the people living in Liaoning, officials from these seven cities have decided to investigate these environmental problems concerning on the river and plan to make proposals to solve these problems.
