Tiexi district has already built three Olympic flowerbeds in order to create a good atmosphere of the coming Olympic Games. And now the publicity department of Tiexi district hopes Shenyang citizens to name the three flowerbeds. This naming activity starts is from 2 to 7, July.

The first flowerbed is located at the southwestern side of the Shenyang Olympic Stadium. It takes the shape of mechanical elements as Shenyang is an industrial city and signifies that the same struggling spirit both in Olympic and industrial production.

The second flowerbed is located at the northeast part of Tiexie Square. This flowerbed takes the shape of a gear. That is because gear is one of the important element of industrial production and it signifies the rigorous attitude of Shenyang, the old industrial base of northeast China.

The third flowerbed is located at the Tiexi Square. It takes the shape of a football for Shenyang will hold the football games of the 2008 Olympic Games.
