A traditional way to observe China's Dragon Boat Festival is by eating "zongzi," or rice dumplings wrapped in bamboo leaves. But this ritual doesn't go down well with everyone.
According to a senior internist at Zhongshan Hospital in Dalian, Liaoning province, surnamed Yu, zongzi is not easily digested by anyone with gastrointestinal tract problems or diabetes.
Over the weekend, several holiday revelers who ate zongzi had to visit local hospitals for treatment for diarrehea.
