There is little in China that can compare to the highly developed culture of tea.  With over 4000 years of history, it's no surprise that tea is more than just a beverage: it's a staple of Chinese culture!  Traditionally, scholars and wealthy merchants discussed politics, business and society over tea.  Today many Chinese businessmen continue to prefer to cultivate relationships over a pot of fine tea.  As foreign businesspeople, showing an understanding and sensitivity to our host's culture can set you apart and help make the difference in developing meaningful and trusting relationships in this highly competitive market.

Come join us in a unique and rare opportunity to get an in-depth understanding of Chinese tea history, culture and the important role that tea plays in modern Chinese business and society.  A dual language presentation and an opportunity to sample six different types of tea will teach you all you need to know to be your own "tea expert" and successfully navigate any business meeting over tea. 

At the same time, you'll get to meet and network with Chinese entrepreneurs from your industry in a friendly and laidback atmosphere.  Interpreters will be on hand to help facilitate smooth communication.  This is a chance to branch out and share insight with businesspeople outside of the foreign or English-speaking community.  Sharing tea is a form of expressing friendship and we're sure you'll find this to be a great opportunity to create and enjoy some new relationships.

About the Event Host

The Liaoning Chinese-Foreign Entrepreneurs Club is a Chinese based business association comprised of owners and leaders of small- to medium-sized businesses, educational institutions and government bureaus.  The club is comprised of over 100 members representing nearly 60 businesses in a wide range of industries including but not limited to education, investment finance, trade, tourism, real estate, media and retail.  Members share a common interest in working together to create and support new business opportunities, share business knowledge and ideas and build cross-industry and cross-cultural partnerships and friendships.
