The 3rd Shenyang “Word Expo Garden Cup” Beer Festival will kick off on August 17, 2008 in Qianpanshan. The beer festival will last from August 17 to September 14.
 
A beer square will be set under the Lily Tower in Shenyang World Expo Garden. The beer festival is purpose to welcome the Mid-autumn Day and to celebrate the Olympic Games.

There will be beer-drinking competitions on each weekend during the beer festival. The person who drinks one bottle of beer in the shortest time will win the competition. The winner will get a certification of taking part in the competition, a ticket of World Expo Garden and some related awards. While the final winner will get 1000 RMB, a certification and some related awards. All the participator will get a high-quality tie and a mascot of World Expo Garden “Yangyang”.
