A worker's German shepherd was instrumental in getting him rushed to hospital for emergency treatment last Monday.

The dog ran to the water supply station where his owner worked as Li lay unconscious in a street in Shenyang after having been badly beaten. It pestered its owner's colleagues, barking and tugging at their trouser legs until they followed it to the street.

Li's colleagues then called an ambulance and Li was rushed to hospital, where doctors were touched by the faithfulness of this heroic dog. Unfortunately, Li died two days later due to the seriousness of his injuries. A suspect was arrested days later.
